Santa paid Lizzie a visit………….
Merry Christmas Folks!
So here it is………. our last advent post 😦 It’s been a blast! Thank you all for reading.
Today we wish Aunty Narna a very happy birthday!
So our last activity was to have a pancake feast for breakfast.
And then…………Open a Christmas gift early and wear it! Our kindness was to be especially nice to Aunty Leah so she also got the same gift as Lizzie to open.
So there you have it, Team Pugh’s countdown to Christmas. May we take this opportunity to wish you a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS. We hope you all have a wonderful day and are kind to your leftovers!
Over and Out
Team Pugh xxxx
Wow the penultimate day of our advent series……..time has FLOWN by!
Today our activity is one that Becksie added especially for Ian………….. today’s task was to go a little bit retro and make banana fritters which Ian LOVES!
Make a simple batter using self raising flour, bicarbonate of soda, milk, egg and cinnamon, coat banana chunks and deep fry until golden brown.
Serve with warmed up golden syrup. Try not to think the health consequences.
Ian was very impressed – Lizzie on the other hand was not keen on the tiny bit she tried and stuck to a (much healthier) satsuma!
So what was today’s kindness? Well it was to be kind to ourselves and relax having done all the Christmas prep!!!! We have indeed done all of the Christmas prep but we aren’t feeling all that relaxed as our lovely cat Jake is missing. Come back Jake we miss you 😦Â
Our activity today is to have a picnic by the fire! Now as Lizzie was busy hanging out at Mammar and Da’s it was a picnic for two – who said romance was dead hehe!Â
Very simple but very nice.
Now to our kindness which was to send a festive joke to someone. We have of course send out several and in the spirit of Christmas we thought we’d share a few with you. Brace yourself they are NAFF!!!
Why does Santa have 3 gardens?
So he can ho-ho-ho.
There was once a great czar in Russia named Rudolph the Red.
He stood looking out the windows of is palace one day while his
wife, the Czarina Katerina, sat nearby knitting. He turned to her
and said, “Look my dear, it has begun to rain!” Without even
looking up from her knitting she replied, “It’s too cold to rain. It
must be sleeting.” The Czar shook his head and said, “I am the
Czar of all the Russias, and Rudolph the Red knows rain, dear!”
Q: What do you call Frosty the Snowman in May?
A: A puddle!
Sorry we know these are AWFUL!!
Today our activity was to make Christmas Pizzas and our kindness was to skype Gannie and Poppa and make them laugh.
Now today we couldn’t skype Gannie and Poppa as……… they came to see us as Poppa kindly offered to help Ian with a spot of pre Christmas DIY – this DIY was taking place (mostly) in the kitchen so…… the making of pizzas was also tricky!
So…………. not to be beaten we did the only possible thing possible in this situation and turned the living room into a Christmas pizza factory, this made Lizzie and Gannie and Poppa laugh so we reckon we pulled off both our activity and our kindness!
After making pizzas we also may have made some festive biscuits in the living room – oh well sometimes you have to defy convention and make a mess!!
