This morning Ian wasn’t feeling all that great so Becksie decided to make us a treat breakfast in the hope it would help. We went all French and had thick hot chocolate in which we dipped homemade bread – delicious!
Lizzie was delighted with this breakfast selection………
We also devoured some oranges in an aid to boost Ian’s vitamin C levels 🙂
Now it’s a jolly good job we had a good breakfast as today’s advent activity was hard work and caused quite a few tears! That’s right folks today Becksie and Lizzie had to do a grand toy sort out. This involved firstly locating all the toys in one area. Sorting them all back into the right boxes, repairing breaks and then deciding the painful task of which ones no longer had a place. Lizzie found it hard as each toy is something she wanted to keep, Becksie found it hard as she is quite sentimental and…….. Lizzie kept moving the piles around!
A few hours later we had some toys that were keepers but have been out grown which have been retired to the loft, some toys that are leaving Team Pugh HQ forever and the rest sorted and neatly back in their new right homes. We even have space should Father Christmas make a trip to visit us.
As sorting out isn’t just for little people, during nap time Becksie set too and sorted out some of Ian and Becksie’s things to go the same way as Lizzie toys………
That’s right folks our kindness for the day was to donate some items to charity – well isn’t that serendipitous given today’s activity!
