Quillow o’Clock

So today was the big day…….. today was the great gift exchange!

Off we went bright and early to meet Jen from My Make Do And Mend Year at a soft play centre somewhere between our two houses.

A great day of soft play was had by all, (although Lizzie was not keen on the ball pool). After lots of chatting, crawling, biscuit munching, tea slurping and exclamations of how tired blogging makes you we exchanged our gifts.

So we hear you say, what did you make and what did you get!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We made a Quillow from an old single duvet cover and witney blanket

A quillow is a quilt and a pillow!

So……… what did we get? We were delighted to receive a clock that in a previous life was a game of Monopoly! We also got some extremely tasty fudge and if you click right here you can get the recipe and a lovely card made with buttons!

We are super chuffed with our clock and have been trying out several locations to see where it will be hung! When we have chosen (and Ian has hung it) we will be sure to show you! A big thank you to our friends at my make do and mend year!

We had planned to blog about how to make the quillow but you know what we are super super tired and the thought of making one to demo is just too much tonight so please keep posted as we will hopefully do this in the next few days.

For now here are some photos of the making of the make do and mend Quillow!

Enjoy:
