So how many mummies and babies does it take to make Mrs.Atkinson’s brownies? Well today it took two mummies and 2 babies of the pink variety!

This post should come with a health warning as these brownies are incredibly bad for you but they are AMAZING! We can highly recommend them in fact Becksie often dreams about them! They are very easy but add two tiny girlies and one chaotic mother to the mix and Mrs A had a challenge on her hands! Needless to say she likes a challenge and still succeeded to produce the above delight! So what do you need:

4 eggs, 75 grams cocoa powder, 75 grams self raising flour, 300 grams sugar (we used a mix)

225 grams butter

225 grams of chocolate

225 grams of chocolate

So once you’ve got all your ingredients together the fun can start! Needless to say if you aren’t also entertaining two small humans the process will be quicker, less messy and all together a lot easier! So lets begin:

crack the 4 eggs into a large bowl and add the sugar

sing a rendition of 'splishy splashy' entertain one pink baby in the high chair with wooden spoon and the other firmly on one mummies hip whilst the other adds the sugar and takes the photos!

When the correct (well almost correct) amount of sugar is added remember to preheat the oven to 180c and change one pink babies nappy

beat together sugar and eggs, both mummies take slurps of tea before it goes stone cold. At this point one mummy should do the beating and the other mummy should place one baby on the left hip and one baby on the right hip!

One mummy should now melt the butter, add it to the mixture and mix. It is extremely important for this mummy to sing a rendition of a horse based song so that the other mother can sit on a chair pretending to be two horses so that each pink child thinks they are riding a horse and not being tricked into silence!

each mummy should now take a baby and between the four of you you should weigh out and sieve the flour and cocoa before adding and mixing it! Just so its not too simple and for fun take photos for evidence!

Melt the chocolate and with a baby spoon add it to the mix whilst both babies sit on the kitchen floor supported by the none chocolate melting mummy!

One mummy mix everything together whilst the other picks up both babies who by now should be both trying to out do each other in the crying stakes!

Line the baking tin whilst one mummy juggles two babies whilst she licks the melted chocolate spoon!

Pour the mixture in the tin, place in the oven for 25 - 35 mins depending on how soft you like them! Each baby should now be reunited with her rightful mummy before you move on to the next project!

Just in case your confused and actually want to make some - the real recipe!

  1. Haha I LOVE the post this evening, probably because I was there and can quite clearly picture it all which has caused a laugh out loud chuckle! Funny to see it pictures and writing tho (and my arms/hands/daughters feet in the photos!) x
